OCTOBER OUTING ~ FORREST BEACH BLOCK ~ SUNDAY 20th OCTOBER.
Our outing this coming Sunday, 20th October, is a visit to Ishara’s block at Forrest Beach, about 20km east of Ingham. The house occupies part of the street frontage of the block and the remainder is undisturbed bush that is host to some interesting plants and animals. We will spend a couple of hours investigating the block and its wildlife before we find a park on the beach where we can have lunch before returning to Townsville.
Meeting place and time: We will meet at 8am in the carpark behind the Hungry Jack’s at the Deeragun shopping centre(see map) and can carpool there, if desired. We will proceed in convoy to the Rotary Park in Ingham for a break and refreshments and leave at 9:45–10am for Forrest Beach.
Transport: People will provide their own transport to the meeting place, at least.
Email us if you can offer someone else a lift, or need a lift yourself.
What to bring: Morning tea, LUNCH, good walking shoes, *WATER*, gear for birdwatching and photography, HAT, sunscreen, insect repellent and whatever else you think appropriate.
If you haven’t done so already, PLEASE EMAIL US IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO COME, so we know who to expect at the meeting point on Sunday
